Job Description
As a Security Officer X Ray Patrol Agent in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control and screening activities, and provide strong customer service and communication. You will help to identify and report security-related concerns while staying visible throughout the site. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify approved entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or drivers, and help to support orderly movement of people, packages, and vehicles at the location.
- Observe site operations and report damaged doors, gates, lighting, equipment, and/or other conditions that may impact security-related operations or facility protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
