SENIOR TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Technical Infrastructure Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise infrastructure initiatives with primary responsibility for End User Services and Information Security and Operations, while supporting Network, Cloud, and Compute projects. This role provides technical project leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring infrastructure modernization initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise technology objectives. The position partners with engineering, architecture, operations, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to drive project governance, operational readiness, and successful production delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects across End User Services, Information Security and Operations, with support for Network, Cloud, and Compute initiatives.
  • Manage infrastructure modernization programs including identity governance, user access management automation, endpoint services, IT asset management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and service transition initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, technical workstream plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and readiness criteria.
  • Coordinate environment readiness, migration activities, cutover planning, release management, validation, operational handoff, and service transition.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders to align project objectives and delivery plans.
  • Facilitate technical working sessions and identify project risks, dependencies, delivery gaps, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and change requests.
  • Lead governance meetings, steering committee updates, project reviews, and executive status reporting.
  • Translate technical information into clear business communications, executive summaries, dashboards, and project metrics.
  • Drive infrastructure readiness planning, including operational acceptance, support models, knowledge transfer, and production support transition.
  • Collaborate with change management, release management, service management, and cybersecurity teams to ensure successful production deployment.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project delivery, planning, governance, reporting, and execution practices.
  • Maintain project documentation, traceability, and alignment across multiple technical workstreams.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive project or program management experience leading enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure programs valued at $1M-$5M or greater with cross-functional teams and multi-year delivery timelines.
  • Experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects within End User Services and Information Security and Operations environments.
  • Experience with identity and access management, endpoint security, IT service management, disaster recovery, business continuity, infrastructure modernization, or related infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong understanding of technical infrastructure, operational readiness, service transition, and production support processes.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, engineering teams, and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to executive audiences.
  • Experience with Planview, ServiceNow, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, or similar enterprise project management tools.
  • PMP, ITIL v4, Agile (CSM, SAFe), CISSP, CISM, Security+, or related certifications preferred.
  • Experience within financial services or insurance industries preferred.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, identity governance, ITIL service transition, or enterprise infrastructure transformation initiatives preferred.
