Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Elgin, IL
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Salary: $30-$34/hr.

Job Duties:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, gantry systems, and facility equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and complete repairs during production.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
- Replace defective components, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
- Identify equipment issues and communicate findings to production and management.
- Partner with production teams to improve preventive maintenance programs and reduce equipment failures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3-4 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably maintaining CNC or gantry equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with OEM machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Heidenhain.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency with maintenance, manufacturing, and Microsoft Office software is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.
