United Talent Staffing is immediately hiring a Grounds Maintenance Worker in Charleston, WV. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining attractive public spaces, and is comfortable using lawn and landscaping equipment.
Schedule and Pay
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Pay starts at $13.00 per hour
- Consistent weekday schedule
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain public grounds, green spaces, and historic parks
- Mow grass and trim around walkways, buildings, and landscaped areas
- Plant and care for flowers, trees, and other greenery
- Trim bushes and trees and remove weeds and vines
- Pick up trash, blow leaves, and keep outdoor areas clean
- Complete minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Safely operate mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, tillers, and other equipment
- Perform basic maintenance on mowers and groundskeeping equipment
- Work efficiently to meet daily goals and departmental expectations
- Report equipment problems and safety concerns to management
Position Requirements
- Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or related experience
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Experience operating lawn and landscaping equipment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Dependable transportation and excellent attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality
