We are currently seeking a Project Estimator to partner with our Project Managers and Commercial Sales teams on the creation of accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for commercial HVAC installation, replacement, and maintenance projects. In this role you will review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates to support successful project completion and profitable operations.

What you will do
- Partner with the Project Manager and Sales Team to achieve annual sales and net profit per job target, while providing customers with superior value and service.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents to prepare accurate, timely, and technically sound HVAC material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy meetings to verify pricing accuracy, scope completeness, and consistency prior to bid submittal.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with manufactures, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain the best value and support for successful project completion.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, vendor partners, and system engineers to address technical questions.
- Maintain organized and detailed project files, historical cost data, and vendor pricing information.
What we are looking for
- 2 – 5 years' experience supporting construction projects, preferably in HVAC or mechanical construction.
- Or a relevant four-year degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree with an internship, co-op, field, or project experience.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to learn HVAC equipment and sheet metal systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with co-workers, customers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to manage mixed workloads
- Coachable, adaptable, team-oriented and willing to learn.
- Interest in long-term growth in Project Management or Sales.
Work Environment / Location
This is an in-office / on-site role based in Fenton, Missouri, with local travel to project sites, job walks, and customer or project meetings across the Greater St. Louis market. Future growth would allow for outside travel, but early on this role will be in the office only.
