Scrum Master
Work Location(s): AWS IAD21 (Herndon, VA); Customer Site in Springfield, VA;

Description of Services/Responsibilities:
- Serve as dedicated Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Manage and maintain the team backlog, ensuring tickets are well-groomed, properly prioritized, and clearly defined with acceptance criteria
- Track and report sprint velocity, burndown, and other agile metrics; identify and remove blockers to keep delivery on track
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and communication across multiple workstreams within the program
- Contribute to engineering tasks (e.g., infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline updates, or light development work) as capacity allows between scrum duties
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with demonstrated ability to lead agile ceremonies and manage backlogs in Jira or similar tools
- Familiarity with software development practices (source control, CI/CD, code reviews) sufficient to understand team work and remove technical blockers
- Strong communication and organizational skills with experience managing competing priorities across multiple teams
- Experience with Orange customer preferred
- Must be willing to work in SCIF at AWS Herndon or Springfield, VA Site up to 100% of each week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent agile certification
- Experience working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary programs in a classified environment
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code, or DevOps tooling
- Familiarity with AI/ML or geospatial project workflows
- Experience applying agile metrics and data-driven approaches to improve team performance
- Experience with Python, scripting, or light development work to support automation or tooling needs
