Responsibilities:
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for structural and misc. steel
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Track and manage bid deadlines
- Write up Change Orders and Value Engineering
Qualifications:
- Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals estimating
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency in computers, estimating software, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manager multiple bids simultaneously
- Structural Steel background necessary
