Job Description
Larkin Solutions is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires someone with hands-on maintenance experience who can confidently diagnose problems, complete repairs, and handle apartment turnovers with limited supervision.
The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, understands the importance of meeting deadlines, and can work independently while remaining a reliable part of the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance repairs.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair solution.
• Complete apartment and room turnovers accurately and efficiently.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks.
• Install, repair, and replace fixtures, appliances, doors, hardware, and building components.
• Inspect work areas and identify additional repairs, damage, or safety concerns.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials used for assigned jobs.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate with management regarding work progress, challenges, delays, and materials needed.
• Work professionally and respectfully with team members, clients, residents, and property staff.
What We’re Looking For
• Maintenance Experience: Previous professional experience in apartment maintenance, property maintenance, construction, renovations, or a related field is required.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building systems.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs correctly without requiring constant direction.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to remain active and on your feet throughout the workday and safely lift 50 pounds or more.
• Dependability: Ability to arrive on time, manage assigned responsibilities, and complete work within required timelines.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify maintenance concerns and consistently produce clean, professional-quality work.
• Team Player: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist other team members when needed.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with management, coworkers, clients, residents, and property staff.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn company procedures, accept feedback, and adjust to changing work priorities.
