eDiscovery Project Coordinator

Location: Onsite (Full-Time) – Washington, DC (145 N Street NE and/or 1331 F Street NW)

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Base Year with Option Years)

Position Overview

A Federal Government Agency is seeking experienced eDiscovery Project Coordinators to support high-profile litigation and investigative matters. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in eDiscovery project management, litigation support technologies, and legal technology best practices.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical liaison for legal teams, guiding cases through the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle while ensuring efficient, defensible, and compliant discovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the electronic discovery lifecycle, providing technical guidance and best practices to legal teams.
  • Consult with case teams to develop and implement project plans for data collection, processing, document review, production, and trial support.
  • Act as the liaison between legal teams and technical support personnel to ensure effective communication and timely project execution.
  • Manage the technology aspects of approximately 8–10 complex litigation matters simultaneously from initiation through completion.
  • Advise attorneys on eDiscovery strategies, industry best practices, and technology solutions to support discovery requirements.
  • Recommend and support tools for early case assessment, document search, analytics, AI-assisted review, and document review workflows.
  • Gather requirements from legal teams, translate them into technical work requests, and oversee execution of data staging, culling, processing, and loading.
  • Train and assist attorneys in searching and reviewing data using Relativity Server, RelOne, or similar document review platforms.
  • Ensure standardized eDiscovery procedures and litigation support processes are consistently followed throughout each case.
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, and provide regular status reports and project metrics.
  • Execute document productions, assist with exhibits, analytics, and AI-driven workflows.
  • Serve as the technical representative for assigned matters and provide technology solutions throughout the litigation process.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing eDiscovery services and litigation support on large, complex matters.
  • Demonstrated experience managing eDiscovery projects from data collection through production using the EDRM framework.
  • Strong understanding of information technology infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, and electronic data sources.
  • Experience planning and managing eDiscovery projects while effectively managing client expectations.
  • Expertise with litigation support platforms such as Relativity Server, RelOne, Nuix, Axiom, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale document reviews involving one million or more records.
  • Knowledge of search technologies, analytics, AI-assisted review, search terms, prompts, and related discovery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with legal requirements surrounding the collection and handling of electronically stored information and seized evidence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree.
  • eDiscovery or litigation support certifications.
  • Project management experience or certifications.
  • Experience supporting government litigation or investigative matters.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI-enabled legal technology and analytics tools.
