Location: Palm Beach, FL
Schedule: Fully Onsite
Employment Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $25-$35/hr DOE
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join a professional and fast-paced organization in Palm Beach, FL. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with experience supporting commercial, residential, or property management portfolios and handling full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for assigned properties
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Review and post journal entries accurately and timely
- Analyze variances and research discrepancies
- Reconcile CAM, tenant charges, and other property-related transactions as applicable
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding
- Assist with accounts receivable, rent rolls, and cash receipt postings
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with property managers and corporate accounting teams regarding financial reporting and budget tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within property management, real estate, commercial real estate, or related industries
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis functions
- Experience with property management or accounting software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully onsite environment
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
