The Assistant Property Manager supports the efficient operation and management of residential properties within a small team environment. Reporting to the Property Manager, this role involves tenant relations, lease administration, maintenance coordination, and rent collection to ensure a smooth and well-maintained living experience for residents. Minimal travel is expected.
Responsibilities
- Manage tenant relations and address inquiries or concerns promptly
- Assist in lease management and administration
- Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders
- Oversee rent collection and payment processing
- Support property inspections and assist with follow-up actions
- Maintain accurate property and tenant records
- Prepare regular reports for property management review
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in property management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of tenant relations and lease administration
- Familiarity with property maintenance coordination
- Skills in conflict resolution and effective communication
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with AppFolio or similar software is a plus
- Knowledge of Minnesota landlord‐tenant laws (or willingness to learn)
- Valid driver’s license
