As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and routine patrols. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor entry points, gates, loading areas, and/or designated access locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations within a logistics and distribution environment.
- Respond to incidents, delivery issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and/or shipping and receiving zones while observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, complete required reports, and follow post orders and site-specific policies related to access management and daily operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
