Commercial Maintenance Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW:
- The Commercial Maintenance Technician performs essential building maintenance tasks to ensure safe, functional commercial properties. This role reports directly to the Property Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete assigned maintenance service requests promptly and efficiently
- Conduct monthly building inspections, including elevator and fire systems
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixing leaks, unclogging drains)
- Execute minor painting projects (surface preparation, applying paints and finishes)
- Handle basic carpentry tasks (door installation, lock fitting)
- Reconfigure office spaces and furniture as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections and work performed
- Ensure all work meets company safety standards and guidelines
- Carry company cell phone for on-call emergency maintenance
- Submit timely and accurate timesheets and mileage reports
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally
- Mobile enough to access various building areas for inspection and repair
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills with tenants and contractors
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Commitment to ethical work practices
