Our client is a venture-backed AI software company building intelligent automation solutions for enterprise finance teams. They are seeking a Sr/Staff Software Engineer with 4–12 years of experience to own the foundational platform systems that power every product and engineering team.
You'll build agent frameworks, context systems, orchestration, and data infrastructure while working directly with customers, finance teams, and company founders to solve complex technical challenges and build scalable infrastructure that enables the entire engineering organization.
Qualifications
- 4–12 years of backend or platform software engineering experience using Python.
- Experience building foundational platform, infrastructure, or framework systems that support multiple engineering teams or production workloads.
- Proven success delivering high-impact, cross-functional engineering projects at scale.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment (pre-Series B preferred).
- Experience within fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, ledger systems, or related financial technology platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure.
- Comfortable contributing across the stack using technologies such as TypeScript and React when needed.
- Experience building enterprise integrations, APIs, and financial data pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and translate business challenges into technical solutions.
