We are seeking an experienced and motivated Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for our community located near Port St. Lucie, Florida. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing staff, maintaining the appearance and functionality of the community, ensuring financial performance, and delivering outstanding customer service to residents.
As a Community Manager, you will:
- Foster positive relationships with residents and respond to all needs.
- Hire, train, motivate and manage onsite staff.
- Demonstrate leadership in corporate attitude, communication skills, and professional appearance. Exemplify adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage and deposit daily collection of all monthly rentals.
- Assist with coordination of regular resident and community activities and events
- Inspect the community grounds and community-owned homes to maintain a presentable appearance.
- Pursue delinquent rents
- Attend court proceedings and perform evictions as needed
- Manage and assign tasks to the maintenance staff through the use of the Maintenance Work Order system.
- Enter lead information in the Lead Tracker System and complete guest cards.
- Process, approve, and forward invoices in a timely manner to the Corporate Office; maintain petty cash; keep track of all expenses and receipts.
- Maintain and approve employees’ timesheets
- Analyze and audit daily, weekly, and monthly reports and address issues as needed
- Manage accidents, emergency situations, and immediate mechanical needs; report to the corporate office immediately and prepare the proper reports. At times this will require the Community Manager’s availability outside of normal work hours.
- Coordinate the refurbishing of community-owned homes.
- Remain aware of safety issues and administer corrective measures to ensure a safe working and living environment for all residents and team members.
- Coordinate the advertising, promotions and presentations of homes as directed by Regional Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 2–3 years of property management experience required, with a track record of effective leadership and operations management.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Detailed-orientated with the ability to multitask and problem solve.
- Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel and Outlook; MRI experience preferred
- Ability to be flexible to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid operator’s license and maintenance of a good driving record at all times.
- High School diploma or GED required.
