Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Guard in Shakopee, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. This role is ideal for someone who values customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while bringing integrity to every shift in a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas, assisting with access control, visitor processing, and verification of authorized presence in accordance with site policies.
- Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with the public and/or personnel, and following post orders related to security-related procedures and incident response.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
