Maintenance Porter (Part-Time)

Location: Holiday Inn Express – Webster, NY

Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience.

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Maintenance Porter to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping a property clean and well-maintained, and is eager to learn. You will work closely under the direction of our Chief Engineer to help maintain the hotel and provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests.

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • 3–4 days per week
  • Weekends and holidays may be required

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily maintenance and porter duties throughout the hotel.
  • Perform minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Keep the hotel's interior and exterior clean and well maintained.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance projects.
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help with room inspections and prepare rooms for guests when needed.
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain the pool, public areas, and grounds as assigned.
  • Follow all hotel safety procedures and company standards.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer on daily tasks and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, or carpentry is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
