Maintenance Porter (Part-Time)
Location: Holiday Inn Express – Webster, NY
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience.
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Maintenance Porter to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping a property clean and well-maintained, and is eager to learn. You will work closely under the direction of our Chief Engineer to help maintain the hotel and provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests.
Schedule
- Part-time
- 3–4 days per week
- Weekends and holidays may be required
Responsibilities
- Complete daily maintenance and porter duties throughout the hotel.
- Perform minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Keep the hotel's interior and exterior clean and well maintained.
- Assist with preventive maintenance projects.
- Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Help with room inspections and prepare rooms for guests when needed.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain the pool, public areas, and grounds as assigned.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and company standards.
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer on daily tasks and special projects.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, or carpentry is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
