Shift Openings
This facility runs 24/7 and we’re filling multiple seats across two schedule types:
Weekday Shifts (3 openings) — 40 hrs/wk
- Day | Mon–Fri | 8-hour shift
- Afternoon | Mon–Fri | 8-hour shift
- Night | Mon–Fri | 8-hour shift
Weekend Shifts (2 openings) — 24 hrs/wk
- Weekend Day | Sat–Sun | 12-hour shift
- Weekend Night | Sat–Sun | 12-hour shift
Weekday roles are straight 40 hrs — no structural overtime. Weekend roles are 2 days/24 hrs per week; ideal for candidates looking for a supplemental income or a shorter workweek.
What You’ll Handle
- Keep the motive power fleet mission-ready by watering, cleaning, equalizing, and capacity-testing lead-acid batteries
- Conduct battery changeouts and timed swaps to keep lift trucks operating across every shift
- Inspect chargers, connectors, and cables; perform light repairs and escalate recurring issues
- Track charge/discharge cycles and maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance logs
- Troubleshoot underperforming batteries using voltmeters, hydrometers, and other diagnostic tools
- Maintain a spotless, compliant battery room that meets all OSHA and internal safety standards
- Safely handle and neutralize electrolyte (sulfuric acid) spills with proper PPE and procedures
- Coordinate with forklift operators to minimize downtime during swaps
- Report equipment trends and issues to the facility supervisor
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2+ years in a battery room, industrial maintenance, warehouse maintenance, or closely related skilled trade
- Working knowledge of DC electrical systems and charging fundamentals
- Familiarity with lead-acid battery care (watering, equalization, specific gravity testing)
- Comfort with OSHA safety practices and consistent PPE use
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate battery lifts/hoists safely
- Reliable, accountable, and able to work independently in a 24/7 environment
Preferred
- Direct battery room experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics setting
- Forklift operator certification
- OSHA 10 or 30 (General Industry)
- Experience diagnosing charger faults, weak cells, or cabling/connector failures
- Familiarity with battery management or maintenance logging systems

Compensation Note
Pay up to $25/hr for candidates with direct battery room or industrial maintenance experience. Strong mechanical candidates with the right attitude will also be considered — we’ll train the right person.
