What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to manage visitor, employee, and contractor entry in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity or policy concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access issues, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that could require security-related attention.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor and/or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
