Future Form Brands is a growing apparel company based in Los Angeles, California, with a portfolio of brands including GLOWIE and POSIE ACTIVE. We design and develop trend-driven activewear and lifestyle apparel for retailers across North America, combining innovative design with exceptional execution.

\n

We are seeking a highly organized Assistant Technical Designer to support our Technical Design team throughout the product development process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about apparel, and eager to build a long-term career in technical design.

\n

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Vernon, CA office.

\n


\n

Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Accurately measure garments and prepare all samples for fit sessions.
  • \n

  • Receive, organize, and track development, PP (Pre-Production), and TOP (Top of Production) samples through the approval process.
  • \n

  • Evaluate samples to ensure previous fit comments and corrections have been properly executed.
  • \n

  • Schedule fit sessions, take detailed fit notes, and document all revisions accurately.
  • \n

  • Review PP and TOP samples for fit, construction, workmanship, and specification compliance.
  • \n

  • Communicate clear, detailed fit comments to vendors and customers when required.
  • \n

  • Update Tech Packs with measurements, fit comments, photos, and revision history following each fitting.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate sample trackers, approval status reports, and technical documentation.
  • \n

  • Follow up with vendors to ensure comments are understood and development deadlines are met.
  • \n

  • Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Production, and Sales to keep development calendars on schedule.
  • \n

  • Assist with additional technical design and product development projects as needed.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
  • \n

  • 1–3 years of technical design or apparel development experience preferred (internships considered).
  • \n

  • Basic understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, sewing techniques, and patternmaking.
  • \n

  • Ability to accurately measure garments and interpret specification sheets.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
  • \n

  • Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
  • \n

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • \n

  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • \n
