Position Summary
The Senior Maintenance Technician leads advanced maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. This role serves as a technical expert in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, while mentoring team members and driving equipment reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment
- Diagnose issues using PLCs, CNC controls, schematics, and technical manuals
- Support installation, testing, and validation of new equipment
- Maintain facility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, structural)
- Perform machine adjustments (sensors, interlocks, control systems)
- Document work and manage equipment history in CMMS
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, Arc Flash, and safety standards
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians
- Support capital projects and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read schematics, ladder logic, and blueprints
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and machine controls
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Preferred
- CMMS experience
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, root cause analysis)
- Experience with equipment installation and capital projects
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders and lifting equipment as needed.
