Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Multi-Family Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment community. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with exceptional customer service, leasing, financial, and team management skills. This individual will be responsible for maximizing occupancy, maintaining resident satisfaction, managing budgets, and ensuring the property operates efficiently while meeting ownership goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the apartment community.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the leasing, maintenance, and office teams.
  • Achieve occupancy, leasing, and revenue goals through effective marketing and resident retention strategies.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor property budgets, financial reports, and monthly operating statements.
  • Approve invoices, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure all rents are collected, delinquencies are addressed, and collections are managed appropriately.
  • Handle resident relations, escalated concerns, and conflict resolution professionally.
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure curb appeal and community standards are maintained.
  • Oversee apartment turns and capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and ensure work orders are completed promptly.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate on-site team members.
  • Build positive relationships with ownership, vendors, and residents.
  • Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi, Entrata, OneSite, or RealPage.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a multi-family apartment community.
  • Previous experience supervising office and maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management operations.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and expense control.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) designation preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing Class A, B, or value-add communities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
