Position Overview: Camco Pros is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support ongoing residential housing maintenance for residential apartment properties. This role is hands-on and requires a well-rounded technician capable of diagnosing and completing a wide range of repairs while maintaining professionalism when interacting with tenants. The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced, and able to respond to both scheduled work and after-hours service calls with a calm, solutions-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across residential units, including:
- Plumbing (minor repairs, leaks, fixture replacements)
- Electrical (basic troubleshooting, outlets, switches, lighting)
- Carpentry (doors, trim, minor framing repairs)
- Drywall and painting repairs
- Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Respond to service calls and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
- Travel to job sites as needed (local travel required)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate clearly with tenants while maintaining professionalism and respect
- Assess situations quickly and maintain situational awareness in occupied environments
- Document completed work and communicate any follow-up needs to management
- Assist with preventative maintenance and unit turns as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of maintenance or trades experience (residential preferred)
- Strong working knowledge across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation to job sites
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- English speaking with the ability to communicate clearly with tenants and team members
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and aware in tenant-occupied environments
- Willingness to participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation
- Experience working in multi-family or public housing environments
- Familiarity with work order systems or mobile field apps
- Basic understanding of safety practices and compliance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and use of tools
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
