Maintenance Assistant
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Civita Care Center at Cheshire, a leading provider of sub-acute rehabilitation in Cheshire, Connecticut. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our rehabilitation center. Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, repairing and replacing equipment, fixtures, and appliances, as well as conducting preventative maintenance on all facilities and equipment

Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all facilities and equipment, including but not limited to, disposing of hazardous waste and recyclables

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities

Collaborate with the facilities team to coordinate maintenance schedules and assignments

Respond to emergency situations and equipment failures in a timely and efficient manner

Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager

Requirements:

2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Salary and Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate: $18 - $20 HOURLY

Full-time position with a regular schedule (negotiable)
