Job Description Maintenance Technician LaSalle, IL Express Employment Professionals of Ottawa, IL is partnered with a leading food manufacturing company in the LaSalle area seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with industrial maintenance experience who enjoy troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working in a fast-paced production environment. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement of production equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical drawings.
Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and responding quickly to maintenance requests.
Maintain food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
Work collaboratively with production, quality, and sanitation teams.
Document maintenance activities using CMMS software.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with CMMS systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of lockout/tagout and workplace safety procedures.
