Job Summary
North Canton Nursing & Rehab is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Tech Level 1 to join our facility operations team. In this entry-level role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general, routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and hardware upkeep.

Conduct daily inspections of common areas, resident rooms, and grounds to identify and address minor repair needs or safety hazards.

Assist with painting, drywall patching, moving furniture, and setting up spaces for facility events.

Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas, shop rooms, and storage spaces.

Respond promptly to routine maintenance work orders and work requests submitted by staff and residents.

Report larger machinery, HVAC, or facility-wide issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Assist with basic exterior maintenance, seasonal groundskeeping, and safety protocols as directed.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 0–1 years of general maintenance, basic handyman, or facility operations experience.

Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and simple power tools.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders throughout the shift.

Schedule: Ability to work standard daily shifts with flexibility for weekend, evening, or emergency coverage as needed.
