As a Leasing Consultant on a small residential property team, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective tenants and play a vital role in supporting the property manager. You will conduct property tours, screen tenants, and handle lease documentation, contributing directly to occupancy rates and resident satisfaction. This position offers opportunities for growth into property management through training and certification programs.
Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective tenants to promote available residential units
- Conduct property tours and highlight key features to potential renters
- Prepare and manage lease documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Generate and follow up on leads to maintain high occupancy levels
- Perform tenant screening including background and credit checks
- Conduct market research to stay informed of local competitive offerings
- Deliver responsive customer service throughout the leasing process
- Coordinate local site visits as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in leasing or property management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Real estate license is an advantage
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with CRM software and leasing processes
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Sales aptitude and ability to build client relationships
