Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Day/Evening Porter role based in Boston, MA. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and appearance in common areas, restrooms, break rooms, entrances, and high-traffic spaces. Tasks may involve trash and recycling removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restocking supplies, and promptly addressing spills or messes. The porter supports building staff and tenants by responding to cleaning requests, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor, and following all company safety and cleaning protocols. The role may include light exterior upkeep such as keeping entryways clear and presentable and ensuring that all assigned areas meet company quality standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.

• Basic knowledge of safe use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals, with attention to workplace safety and health guidelines.

• Strong reliability and punctuality, with the ability to follow schedules, instructions, and established procedures consistently.

\n

• Good communication and customer service skills to interact respectfully with building occupants, supervisors, and teammates.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to manage time effectively across multiple areas or tasks.

\n

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry cleaning materials and equipment for extended periods as required.

• Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial, or porter roles is preferred but not required.

• Willingness to undergo background checks and any required screenings in line with company policies.
