Summary

\n


\n

The Community Security Programs Specialist serves as a critical link between security operations, and organizational strategy, helping ensure security resources and initiatives are focused on reducing risk, enhancing preparedness, and supporting the safety and resilience of the communities served.

\n


\n

This role combines security threat landscape analysis with structured project management to ensure security programs, systems, and processes are effectively implemented on time, within scope, and in alignment with the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas’ organizational priorities.

\n


\n

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working with security leadership, internal departments, vendors, and external agency partnerships. This role requires effective communication skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to oversee sensitive information appropriately.

Essential Duties:

\n

· Lead designated security projects from initiation through completion, including scope definition, schedules, resources, deliverables, and partner agencies communications.

\n

· Take a leadership role in security training programs (Run, Hide, Fight, Stop the Bleed, Situational Awareness, others as needed).

\n

· Self-initiated follow ups with Greater Dallas and Ft Worth Jewish agencies for training venues, security site assessments (requires working off-site, outdoors), and in-person

\n

security consultations.

\n

· Assess and control emergency communications, and intelligence platforms to ensure all entries are complete with ability to correct or update without supervision.

\n

· Lead security training planning including scheduling, registration, staff communication, attendance tracking, materials, reminders, and post-training documentation.

\n

· Research security initiatives to ensure they align with applicable laws, standards, organizational policies, and best practices.

\n

· Sustain organized and accurate security records and documentation for leadership status reports, project summaries, and dashboards.

\n

· Lead vendor relationships including communication, issue resolution, invoice follow-up, and service performance documentation.

\n

· Oversee sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, security management, project management, or a related field.
  • \n

  • 2–5 years of experience in security operations, business operations, or a related field.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with operational security, risk management, business continuity, or emergency management programs.
  • \n

  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, or procurement activities.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • \n

  • Experience maintaining project trackers, reports, schedules, and documentation.
  • \n

  • Ability to manage multiple security programs and competing priorities.
  • \n

  • Strong diligence and follow-through.
  • \n

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when managing sensitive information.
  • \n

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours including weekends.
  • \n

  • Ability to work in the field outside the office environment.
  • \n

  • Ability to respond to critical incidents as needed.
  • \n

  • Ability to travel within the State of Texas for work related needs.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications (Not required)

\n

    \n
  • Military or law enforcement experience is a plus.
  • \n

  • Experience supporting a physical, information, or corporate security function.
  • \n

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
  • \n

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or similar certification.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with security frameworks, policies, audits, or regulatory requirement.
  • \n

Pay Range

\n

  • $55,000 - $59,410
  • \n

\n

Specific vision ability required by the job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee normally works primarily in an indoor office environment, and occasionally in an outdoor environment, with exposure to occasional temperatures below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees. The noise level in the environment may be moderate. Will also be required to travel occasionally.
