Leasing Agent – Multi-Family CommunitiesM. We are seeking an energetic, sales-driven, and service-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our team.The Leasing Consultant serves as the first impression of our community and plays a key role in driving occupancy, resident satisfaction, and community success. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while achieving leasing goals.Position SummaryThe Leasing Consultant is responsible for marketing and leasing apartment homes, providing exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the leasing office. This position works closely with the Property Manager to ensure occupancy goals, resident retention, and operational excellence are achieved.Job DutiesEssential Responsibilities•\tGreet prospective residents and provide professional, personalized community tours.•\tRespond promptly to telephone, email, online, and walk-in leasing inquiries.•\tConduct follow-up with prospects to maximize lease conversions and achieve occupancy goals.•\tPrepare, process, and execute lease agreements, renewals, notices, and other leasing documentation.•\tComplete resident move-in and move-out procedures, including orientations and inspections.•\tMaintain accurate knowledge of apartment availability, rental rates, floor plans, amenities, and current leasing specials.•\tUtilize property management software to maintain prospect traffic, resident files, lease information, and reporting.•\tEnsure all leasing files and resident documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.•\tAssist with lease renewals and resident retention initiatives.•\tCoordinate with the maintenance team to ensure vacant apartments are market-ready and meet company presentation standards.•\tPerform regular inspections of vacant units throughout the turnover process.•\tMonitor the appearance of the leasing office, model units, clubhouse, and community amenities to maintain a welcoming environment.•\tAssist with community marketing initiatives, resident events, outreach marketing, and social media efforts as directed.•\tAccept rental payments and accurately process resident transactions when applicable.•\tAssist in monitoring delinquent accounts by communicating professionally with residents regarding outstanding balances.•\tPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management.•\tAssist with opening and closing the leasing office, balancing petty cash, and making bank deposits when required.•\tBuild positive relationships with residents by responding promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, and service requests.•\tMaintain confidentiality of resident and company information.•\tPerform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the community.Job Requirements•\tAssociate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.•\tMinimum of 1-2 years of leasing, property management, customer service, hospitality, or sales experience preferred.•\tAffordable Housing, Section 8, LIHTC, and/or MSHDA experience is preferred.•\tPrevious experience with Yardi, Rent Manager, or similar property management software is preferred.•\tStrong sales aptitude with the ability to build rapport and close leases.•\tExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills.•\tStrong verbal and written communication skills.•\tHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail.•\tProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).•\tAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.•\tProfessional appearance and positive attitude.•\tReliable transportation and ability to travel locally between communities if needed.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities•\tStrong customer service mindset with a hospitality-focused approach.•\tAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.•\tExcellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.•\tAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.•\tKnowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices.•\tAbility to effectively market apartment homes and achieve leasing goals.Physical Requirements•\tAbility to walk apartment communities, including climbing stairs throughout the workday.•\tAbility to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.•\tAbility to tour apartments and amenities with prospective residents.•\tAbility to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods. $19.00 - $25.00 Hourly
