Commercial Plumbing Operations Manager
$100,000–$130,000 + Performance Bonus
Location: Brea, CA | Semi-Remote
Travel: Southern California & Arizona
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and lead the company’s expansion into Arizona.
This is a leadership position for someone with proven experience managing operations for a $5M–$15M commercial plumbing or mechanical contractor. The ideal candidate understands both field operations and the business side of construction, with a strong track record of leading teams, improving efficiency, and increasing profitability.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily commercial plumbing operations
- Lead project managers, superintendents, foremen, and office staff
- Develop and launch the Arizona Division
- Recruit and build field and operations teams
- Manage manpower planning and scheduling
- Monitor labor productivity and job profitability
- Review contracts, RFIs, submittals, budgets, and change orders
- Improve operational systems and processes
- Maintain relationships with general contractors and owners
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Travel throughout Southern California and Arizona as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- 10–15 years of commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting experience
- Leadership experience with a $5M–$15M contractor
- Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems
- Experience with scheduling, labor management, job costing, and profitability
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience opening or managing a new branch
- Experience scaling a commercial contractor
- Southern California commercial construction experience
- Arizona construction experience
