Job Description
As a Warehouse Asset Protection Officer, you will help maintain the safety and security of the distribution center by monitoring facility access, conducting surveillance activities, and supporting loss prevention efforts. This role is responsible for controlling access to the building and yard, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents when necessary.
Responsibilities
Control and monitor access for employees, visitors, contractors, and carrier drivers entering the facility and truck yard
Verify and process all inbound and outbound shipments
Conduct inspections of employees, visitors, and contractors to help prevent theft and ensure compliance with security procedures
Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally
Monitor CCTV cameras and perform routine security inspections, fence checks, yard audits, and facility walkthroughs
Respond to security incidents and coordinate with emergency responders when needed
Complete daily shift reports, incident documentation, and shipment logs
Maintain accurate asset protection records and security documentation
Support a safe, secure, and organized work environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers
Basic computer and documentation skills
Ability to remain professional and composed while responding to security-related situations
Prior security, loss prevention, warehouse, or customer service experience is a plus

Work Environment
The role is based in a large, 800,000 sq ft distribution facility that is clean, well-organized, and somewhat temperature controlled. You will work on-site in a fast-paced warehouse setting that relies on electric pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with two primary shifts: 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining a tidy workspace throughout the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
