**Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance Technician or Millwright experience
  • Strong electro-mechanical knowledge, including some PLC experience
  • Previous experience working with pumps and valves
  • Excellent troubleshooting knowledge
  • Solid communication skills
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 7 am - 3 pm in Salisbury North Carolina (possibility for some overtime)

STEM DTS is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join one of our clients in Salisbury, North Carolina. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electro-mechanical background, hands-on experience with PLC-controlled equipment, and expertise working with pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can independently diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures using established troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities on production equipment and plant systems.
  • Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, oxygen sensors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, including motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting, fault identification, and basic programming modifications as needed.
  • Support equipment startups, changeovers, and capital improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
