As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and checking the performance of machinery, including overhead cranes, slitters, and cutters. This role involves both proactive and reactive maintenance, focusing on 60% electrical and 40% mechanical tasks. You will perform preventive maintenance, fix damaged parts, and conduct major repairs if necessary, while tackling common repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and check the performance of machinery such as overhead cranes, slitters, and cutters.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and fix damaged parts, requiring major repairs if necessary.
  • Balance electrical (60%) and mechanical (40%) maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct common repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and perform mechanical repairs.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience troubleshooting 480v
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, including 3 phase and PLC troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC's
  • Steel Processing experience

Work Environment

Work in a steel processing facility that is not climate-controlled but is maintained clean. The first shift operates from 6am to 2pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
