Apartment Maintenance Technician

BG Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a residential community in Spring Valley, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining quality living environments, and is looking for a consistent schedule with a respected staffing partner.
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and attractive for residents. We are looking for individuals who are customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks in a fast-paced residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Perform general apartment maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related issues as needed
- Repair and replace fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, and hardware
- Conduct preventive maintenance throughout the property
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparations
- Perform painting, drywall repairs, caulking, and touch-up work
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas and grounds
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
- Provide professional and courteous service to residents and property staff
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs independently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation preferred
- EPA Certification is a plus but not required
