Join Our Facilities Department as a Technician

$24.22-$33.82 Hourly

Who You Are:

• A professional with at least one year of related work experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A passionate self-starter who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and doing the heavy lifting while working safely and independently outdoors year-round.
• A detail-oriented problem-solver.
• A good driver with a valid California driver's license.
• A local individual who lives within 12 miles of First Street and McKinley Avenue intersection in Fresno.

What You'll Do:

You'll play a crucial role in protecting the community by maintaining our flood control and urban storm drainage systems. You will:

• Maintain and inspect stormwater basins, reservoirs, channels, fences, pumps, and other facilities.

• Repair & adjust sprinklers and control valves, breaks in water lines, program irrigation schedules, and other landscaping needs.
• Perform basic math calculations for volumes and quantities.
• Read tape measures, gauges, meters, etc., and assess maintenance needs.
• Control pests and vegetation at our basins and other facilities.
• Oversee and cultivate relationships with contractors.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
