As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide essential Maintenance and Engineering services, responding to service calls throughout the hospital complex. You will perform accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems within your capability, and call in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond your expertise. You will also perform other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and engineering services throughout the hospital complex.
  • Perform accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems.
  • Call in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond your capability.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on assigned equipment and systems.
  • Respond to and assist in emergency and disaster situations as necessary.
  • Check buildings to ensure that essential systems are operating properly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on schedule and in accordance with department standards.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance technician roles.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and repair.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance, service, and schematic interpretation.
  • Skills in HVAC, blueprint reading, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance repair.
  • Experience with motors, installation, industrial maintenance, welding, and hand tools.
  • Proficiency in install, carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, and construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Controls is beneficial but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
