HSS is looking for flexible and reliable Janitorial Staff to service at the US OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS stadium. If you have a love for cleaning and enjoy providing excellent guest service, we encourage you to apply!
EVENT DATES: August 27- September 13
Positions Available:
- Restrooms Attendants
- Grounds Janitors
- These positions will rotate throughout the shift
Shifts:
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Potential for overtime opportunities
- Full time
Compensation:
The pay for these positions is $19/hr. This represents the pay that Hospitality Staffing Solutions reasonably and in good faith believes it will pay for this role at the time of posting.

Requirements:
- Must have the legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Should have at least 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience.
- Willing to work on weekends and holidays.
- Willing to do heavy lifting.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities at the US Tennis Championshop. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and welcoming for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help create a positive environment that promotes health and productivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, usage, and disposal to prevent accidents or contamination
- Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces
- Conduct routine sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards across all areas of the facility
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for chemical handling safety
- Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers and floor polishers is preferred
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
