Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in industrial maintenance and gain experience in mechanical systems, equipment repair, and facility upkeep. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining machinery, performing routine inspections, and supporting mechanics in troubleshooting and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose problems and maintain various material bulk handling equipment.
- Assist in transporting and moving mechanical bulk handling equipment.
- Assemble and install equipment like drive motors, conveyors, and pulley assemblies.
- Perform stick welding and cutting torch operations as necessary.
- Align machines and equipment for proper operation.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment, making necessary adjustments.
- Operate equipment such as cutting torches, welders, forklifts, hand tools, and electric meters.
- Lubricate moving parts, examine, and operate repaired equipment to ensure specifications are met.
- Perform duties of co-workers as directed, including greasing/lubricating bearings, rollers, belts, crane bucket, and cable repairs.
- Discharge vessels and perform other assigned functions.
- Take directions and report to the Terminal Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Skills
- Troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- 2-5 years of experience with conveying and material handling systems.
- Ability to work with a team, take direction, and maintain work schedules.
- Focus on attention to details and adherence to work rules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Regular work attendance is required.
- Willingness to work shift and/or overtime hours as needed.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.47 - $27.00/hr.
