Position: Overnight Security Officer
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
SMI is seeking a professional, dependable, and experienced Security Officer to work overnight at the Port of Miami Cargo Side. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while monitoring the facility, access points, personnel, and cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the cargo facility.
• Conduct routine patrols and security checks.
• Monitor vehicles, employees, vendors, and authorized personnel.
• Complete required daily activity and incident reports.
• Respond to security concerns and emergencies.
• Maintain communication with SMI dispatch and management.
• Maintain a professional security presence at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid Florida Security D License.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• Valid Florida Driver License.
• Must have your own reliable vehicle.
• Port Security does not allow drop-offs, Uber, Lyft, or other unauthorized transportation inside the Port.
• Must be able to pass all required Port security screening and credentialing.
• Must be dependable, professional, and able to work overnight hours.
