Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations to oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing production uptime, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate maintenance planning activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.\n

Responsibilities Of The Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations

- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety training, job hazard reviews, and support a safe working environment for employees and contractors.
- Ensure maintenance activities align with quality, regulatory, and food safety standards.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and compliance initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians and other maintenance personnel.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support and guidance for equipment and process issues.
- Coordinate technician schedules, assign daily priorities, and track maintenance activities.
- Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Manage major equipment shutdowns, outages, and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations personnel and third-party contractors.
- Investigate equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Lead reliability and process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
- Support capital projects and monitor contractor performance.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to achieve production and maintenance objectives.

Required Experience/Skills For The Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations

- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or processing environment, particularly for candidates without an engineering degree.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs (PM/PdM).
- Experience utilizing CMMS systems for maintenance planning and tracking.
- Understanding of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing maintenance teams.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and maintenance operations.
- Experience planning, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, contractors, and maintenance personnel.

Education Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Skilled trades backgrounds such as Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, Millwright, or similar technical fields will also be considered.
