Men’s Homeless Shelter
The Men’s Homeless Shelter is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Specialist to coordinate, facilitate, and support individuals in obtaining permanent housing.
Position Summary
The Housing Specialist will:
- Conduct housing assessments to evaluate participants’ housing readiness, and overall needs.
- Facilitate housing workshops and provide accurate information regarding re-housing, public benefits, and tenancy-related matters.
- Educate tenants on their rights under applicable government regulations and housing laws.
- Provide comprehensive case management services, including assisting clients with applications for housing, rental assistance, and subsidy programs.
- Maintain detailed and accurate case notes, ensuring consistent daily and weekly follow-ups with residents regarding transitional goals and housing interviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in housing, real estate, or a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with citywide agencies and landlords.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with the homeless population.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

SEBCO and its staff are committed to improving the local community through development and investment not only in the properties but also in the people who work and live in our developments.
