Job Title: Daytime Porter
Location: Easton CT
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay: $18.00–$18.25 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Daytime Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing high-quality cleaning services.
Responsibilities
Daytime Porter Cleaning Duties
The assigned porter will be responsible for ongoing cleaning and facility maintenance throughout the school day including:
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms throughout the day
• Restocking restroom supplies as needed
• Cleaning hallways, stairwells, classrooms, and common areas
• Cleaning interior and exterior glass doors and entryways
• Trash removal and replacement of liners
• Cleaning cafeteria, lunch areas, and student gathering spaces
• Maintaining cleanliness of playground and exterior entrances
• Ensuring parking lots and parking levels are kept clear of debris to maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Immediate response to spills, accidents, or student-related incidents using professional-grade cleaning and disinfecting products
- Ongoing high-touch surface disinfection throughout the day
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or commercial Porter experience is preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and reaching
- Must be dependable with a strong work ethic
- Background check required
- Must speak English
