Experience: Minimum of 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience strictly within a food manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with industrial processing and packaging equipment (fryers, ovens, HPP, fillers, pumps, motors, conveyors).

Deep experience in electrical troubleshooting, running circuits, and PLC/automation diagnostics.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).

Proficiency using CMMS software to track and close work orders.

Tools & Certifications:

Must possess your own set of basic hand tools.

TIG Welding certification is a major plus! ZPMLSTCM

Responsibilities

High-Impact Troubleshooting & Repair: Perform hands-on corrective and preventive maintenance on high-capacity food production machinery, including conveyors, industrial mixers, tortilla ovens, commercial fryers, high-pressure processing (HPP) systems, filling machines, and packaging lines.

Electrical & PLC Systems: Run new electrical circuits, relocate existing wiring runs, and diagnose/troubleshoot automation controls and PLCs.

Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PMs (lubrication, filter changes, cleaning) and log all work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Facility Maintenance: Partner with the team to maintain plant facilities, structures, and utilities. Keep the maintenance shop fully organized, secure, and stocked with tools and parts.

Safety First: Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety standards, and OSHA guidelines.

Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior maintenance staff, coordinate third-party vendor/contractor activities as assigned, and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor.
