Position Overview

\n

PTR Global is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer / Facility Operations Lead for a direct-hire opportunity supporting a mission-critical data center environment. This individual will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of critical building infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, while maintaining the highest levels of uptime and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Lead daily operations of critical facility infrastructure.

\n

• Monitor, operate, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems supporting a mission-critical environment.

\n

• Support power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and building automation systems.

\n

• Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and vendor activities.

\n

• Develop and follow operating procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

\n

• Support infrastructure upgrades, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n

• Respond to equipment alarms, troubleshoot system issues, and support restoration activities.

\n

• Maintain documentation, maintenance records, and operational reporting.

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience supporting critical facilities, mission-critical environments, or data center operations.

\n

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems.

\n

• Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure, and building management systems.

\n

• Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support.

\n

• Familiarity with MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs preferred.

\n

• Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data centers is preferred.

\n

• Liquid cooling experience is a plus.

\n
