Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures. Assuring shipment of temperature controlled and undamaged products, proper count of goods at customer locations, assuring inventory levels are FIFO in the customer locations.
Hours: 12:30pm to 9:00pm five days a week, with Tuesday and Sundays as scheduled days off. This would be a 40-hour per week position
Rate: $16.00 per hour
Description: The objective of this position is to exceed the customer’s expectation of service by assuring the safe transportation and delivery of food to customer locations, following company policies and procedures.
Required skills and abilities:
- 1-3 years in related position, experience in sanitation required
- Work independently.
- Ability to follow safety protocol
Physical requirements:
- The ability to lift 20-50 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to work for short period of time in cooler and freezer
Minimum Porter Requirements
- 18 Years of age or older
- 1-year related experience
- Able to follow detailed cleaning procedures and implement or improve on existing ones
- Ordering various cleaning supplies
- Ability to operate sanitation equipment (mop, broom and or vacuum)
Porter Demands:
- Physical active
- Lifting, carrying, walking, standing kneeling, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for long periods
- Able to communicate effectively
Accountabilities:
- Cleanliness of entire facility
- Inventory management of cleaning supplies
- Works with all departments to assure safe clean working environment
- Follows HACCP, GMP, requirements are met or exceeded
- Works efficiently in a timely manner
- Works with safety in mind at all times
- Assist in other departments as needed
