Overview
We are hiring Grounds Maintenance Workers to ensure the upkeep and safety of school grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>
Operate lawn equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and edgers.
</li>
<li>
Maintain landscaping, fields, and outdoor school facilities.
</li>
<li>
Perform routine groundskeeping and minor maintenance tasks.
</li>
<li>
Report hazards or maintenance needs to supervisors.
</li>
<li>
Follow safety protocols and dress code (plain shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes).
</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
</li>
<li>
Experience operating lawn/grounds equipment preferred.
</li>
<li>
Reliable transportation to RISD Grounds Department office.
</li>
<li>
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.
</li>
