Job DescriptionAbout the Role: Crown View Manor I Condominium in West Orange, NJ is looking for a dependable and hardworking Porter to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, hallways, lobbies, and building exteriors
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Assist with light maintenance and repair tasks as needed throughout the property
- Monitor and maintain laundry rooms, parking areas, and other shared amenities
- Remove and manage trash and recycling in accordance with community guidelines
- Respond promptly to resident requests and facility needs in a courteous manner
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or damage to property management
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Porter, Janitor, Custodian, or in building maintenance preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and staff
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work weekends or varied shifts as needed
