Job DescriptionMaintenance – Seasonal (Riverfront) | Parks & RecreationPay: $15–$17/hr Hours: 15–30 hrs/week, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Location: Fort Wayne, INSummary: This seasonal maintenance role with Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation provides hands-on experience maintaining facilities and grounds along the Riverfront. Incumbents will perform janitorial, groundskeeping, and minor maintenance tasks while following City safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:Clean and maintain buildings, restrooms, grounds, and assigned areasRemove litter, debris, trash, and graffitiAssist trades crews and operate equipment safelyMaintain work-related reports and recordsFollow safety policies and guidelinesDrive one-ton or small utility trucks as neededQualifications:Minimum 18 years old, with three years of high school completedEffective communication skills, ability to follow instructionsComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditionsValid Indiana Driver's License as requiredPhysical Requirements:Frequently stand, walk, reach, handle objects, lift up to 75 lbs, and carry up to 25 ftExposure to dust, pollen, extreme temperatures, and occasional hazardous conditionsEqual Opportunity EmployerEmployment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
